Qurban is one of the worship that Allah commands in the Qur'an to be carried out on Eid al-Adha as Allah says in QS Al Kautsar verse 1-2, "Indeed we have given you many blessings. So establish prayer for your Lord, and sacrifice."

In a few weeks Muslims all over the world will be celebrating Eid al Adha. A time commemorating the sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) when tasked to sacrifice his own son. One of the greatest actions one can do when in this blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage. However, if one is unable to go, the greatest action they can partake in is the Qurbani/Udhiyyah which is the sacrificing of an animal in the name of God.

"For every hair of the Qurbani, you will receive a reward" (Tirmidhi)

Help us spread the joy of Eid Al Adha! Give the gift of Qurbani to the most needy people in Indonesia. Thousands of families in Indonesia are struggling to fulfill their daily life, let alone buying Qurbani meat for Eid al Adha.  People who receive meat may include orphans, widows, the elderly people, people with disabilities, sick and poor people and those who are living in remote part of Indonesia. We are trying to choose the beneficiaries mostly from underprivileged and disaster-affected people.

As in the story in East Seram, there is a village that rarely celebrates Qurbani because it cannot afford to buy lamb. Finally, the local village head celebrates by cutting chicken because he wants to enliven the preaching of Qurban on Eid al-Adha. Your Qurbani also helps many inland converts who are unable to taste the meat of the qurban on Eid al-Adha.
